Industrial Engineer - Facilities and Layout Design

Our client seeks a skilled Industrial Engineer with a specialization in facilities and layout design to join their forward-thinking team. You will be responsible for analyzing existing facility layouts, developing innovative designs for new or expanded facilities, and implementing strategies to improve material flow, workspace utilization, and overall operational efficiency.

• Analyze existing facility layouts and operational workflows to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for new or modified facility layouts, including production areas, warehouses, and offices.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works) to create detailed floor plans, equipment layouts, and material flow diagrams.
• Conduct space utilization studies and develop strategies to optimize workspace efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and safety, to ensure designs meet all requirements.
• Perform simulation and modeling of proposed layouts to assess performance and identify potential issues.
• Develop project scope, budgets, and timelines for facility design and implementation projects.
• Oversee the implementation of new layouts, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
• Stay current with best practices in industrial facility design, ergonomics, and material handling.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders on design proposals and project progress.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on facility layout design and space optimization.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for creating detailed facility plans.
• Strong understanding of material flow, logistics, ergonomics, and safety principles in facility design.
• Experience with simulation software for layout analysis is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and spatial reasoning skills.
