Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa Zulu-Natal . • Lead the design and development of complex civil engineering infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water, and wastewater systems.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring project delivery on time and within scope.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project compliance and satisfaction.
• Perform quality control and assurance on all engineering designs and construction activities.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and relevant legislation.
• Undertake site supervision and contract administration during the construction phase.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) as a Pr. Eng or eligible for registration.
• A minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant structural analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of South African building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region as required.
