• Conduct advanced geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and underground structures.
• Interpret geotechnical investigation data and prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with design recommendations.
• Oversee the design of shallow and deep foundation systems for various project types.
• Perform slope stability analyses and develop mitigation strategies for problematic terrain.
• Manage multiple geotechnical projects concurrently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines through virtual channels.
• Review and approve geotechnical designs, calculations, and technical documents prepared by others.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant South African national standards and international best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers remotely.
• Stay current with advancements in geotechnical engineering software and methodologies.

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng. with ECSA is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with substantial experience in design and analysis.
• Expertise in using geotechnical software such as Geo Studio, Plaxis, Rocscience suite, and relevant CAD packages.
• Proven ability to manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities via video conferencing.
• High level of self-discipline, organization, and time management skills to succeed in a remote role.
• Must possess a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
