Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Power Engineer for a remote position, contributing to the development and enhancement of electrical power infrastructure. This role involves detailed analysis, design, and simulation of power systems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety. You will work closely with a remote team of engineers and stakeholders on projects that span the energy sector, from renewable integration to grid modernization.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong theoretical foundation in power systems engineering and the ability to thrive in a virtual, collaborative work environment.
- Perform detailed analysis and design of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution aspects.
- Develop technical specifications for power system equipment and components.
- Conduct load flow, stability, and short-circuit studies using industry-standard software.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions for grid integration, power quality issues, and energy efficiency improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and project proposals.
- Collaborate effectively with remote teams, providing expert input on power system design and operational challenges.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power system design and analysis.
- Proficiency in power system simulation software such as PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of power system protection, control, and stability principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
