About the Role
Our client seeks a detail-oriented and innovative Structural Engineer to join their established team in Tembisa. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to diverse structural design projects. You will be responsible for the structural integrity of buildings and infrastructure, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze structural systems for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects, ensuring safety and code compliance.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using advanced modeling software.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and oversee construction progress.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and construction teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Perform structural assessments and provide recommendations for repairs or retrofitting of existing structures.
- Review shop drawings and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP
2000, ETABS, Revit Structure). - Strong understanding of building codes, material properties, and construction methods.
- Experience with hybrid work models, balancing remote tasks with essential on-site duties.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
