Remote; Airframe Analysis Engineer

An Airframe Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY or via remote support. This job is a full-time direct position or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, and experience in airframe structural analysis.

• Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical hand stress calculations
• Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer
• Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated
• Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings
• Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers
• Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer
• Manage your own project work and provide mentorship to others

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
• Five or more years of experience performing airframe structural analysis and possess strong technical ability
• Finite element analysis proficiency using Femap / Nastran (FEA)
• Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes
• Ability to work independently, while adhering to strict timelines
• Static and fatigue analysis experience
• Mentoring or leadership experience
• Experience taking control of a task from start to finish
• Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have excellent computer skills
• Legal authorization to work in the US required
• Travel to customer and work site locations as required

• VBA or similar programming skill set
• Composite interiors analysis experience

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $85,000 to $135,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
