Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Scheduler (Remote)

kV Partners is working with an established US power contractor delivering transmission, distribution and substation projects across multiple states. They're adding a Scheduler to own project schedules from bid through closeout, working remotely alongside project managers, estimators and field leadership.

This is a high-visibility role. Your schedules will drive how crews, materials and outages are planned, and how the business reports progress to its utility clients.

What you'll do
  • Build and maintain baseline and working CPM schedules in Primavera P6 for transmission, distribution and substation projects
  • Develop resource- and cost-loaded schedules that meet utility owner and contract requirements
  • Run regular schedule updates with PMs and superintendents, track progress, forecast completion and flag slippage early
  • Produce 3- and 6-week look-aheads for field teams
  • Carry out critical path analysis, what-if scenarios and recovery plans
  • Plan around outage windows, long-lead equipment (transformers, breakers, steel), permitting and ROW constraints
  • Prepare time impact analyses and support change orders and delay claims
  • Write schedule narratives and reports for utility clients and leadership
  • Build preliminary schedules for bids and proposals
  • Help set scheduling standards and templates as the business grows
What you'll bring
  • 5+ years' scheduling experience in power, utility or heavy civil construction (T&D, substation, renewables or generation)
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills
  • Strong understanding of CPM logic, earned value and schedule analysis
  • Experience working to utility owner scheduling specifications
  • Confidence holding PMs and field leaders to the plan, with clear and direct communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once in a remote setting
  • PMI-SP, AACE PSP or similar is a plus
  • Degree in construction management, engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
What's on offer
  • $115,000 to $135,000 base salary
  • Annual bonus
  • Sign-on bonus
  • Fully remote, full-time position employed directly
  • Strong benefits, 401k, and PTO policy.
