Remote Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is looking for a dedicated and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join their fully remote team, serving clients across various industries. This position focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and developing sophisticated mechanical systems and components, all managed from your remote work location. You will play a crucial role in the entire product lifecycle, from initial ideation through to final testing and validation, collaborating digitally with a geographically dispersed team.

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to validate designs.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed drawings, BOMs, and specifications for manufacturing.
• Collaborate effectively with remote team members, including project managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing partners, through digital communication channels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design challenges, providing innovative solutions to technical problems encountered during development and production.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve design processes and product performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting.
• Proficiency in performing engineering simulations and analysis (FEA, CFD).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and tolerance analysis.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, suited for a remote work environment.
