Remote BIM Modeler - Infrastructure Projects

Our client, a global leader in sustainable infrastructure development, is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote BIM Modeler to join their innovative team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will play a crucial role in developing detailed BIM models for a variety of infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and adherence to international BIM standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and extensive experience with BIM software. , without needing to be on-site.

• Create and update 3D BIM models for infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, pipelines, earthworks) using specified software.
• Ensure models are accurate, coordinated, and compliant with project BIM execution plans and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to integrate model data.
• Generate 2D drawings, reports, and visualizations from BIM models as required.
• Perform quality control checks on models to identify clashes and errors.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM content libraries and standards.
• Stay current with the latest BIM technologies, software updates, and industry best practices.
• Support the BIM Manager and project teams in the effective use of BIM tools and workflows.
• Maintain organized digital project files and documentation.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to project discussions.

• A National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience as a BIM Modeler, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Revit is essential.
• Experience with other BIM software such as Navisworks for clash detection and coordination is highly desirable.
• Understanding of civil engineering concepts related to transportation, water, and wastewater infrastructure.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality models.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills suitable for a remote team environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
• A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace are mandatory.
• Previous experience working on projects within the Western Cape or similar environments is a plus.
