Remote Chemical Process Design Engineer

Our client is actively seeking an experienced and innovative Chemical Process Design Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is essential for conceptualizing and developing robust, scalable, and economically viable chemical processes for new projects and plant expansions. You will leverage your expertise in process simulation, equipment design, and safety principles to create detailed process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.

• Lead the conceptual design and development of new chemical processes and plant facilities.
• Create detailed Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Specify process equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and separation units.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling to optimize designs for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Perform hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and ensure designs meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design reports, operating manuals, and scope of work documents.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering .
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process design and engineering, preferably within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Expert proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools.
