Remote Self Pay Collections Specialist

• Identify and prioritize outstanding balances for collections based on aging buckets
• Conduct extensive research to resolve open invoices and credits related to self-pay patient encounters
• Communicate trends in problematic accounts to management
• Document all efforts to resolve balances using designated software and reports
• Handle incoming inquiries from patients and practice staff regarding balances due

• High school diploma is required
• Minimum of one year of medical collections experience
• Customer service experience highly preferred
• Experience in ophthalmology is preferred
• Familiarity with Next Gen (NG) software is preferred

• Previous experience in a similar role within an ophthalmology or optometry practice
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
