Intermusica is seeking a highly organised, resilient, resourceful, and tenacious Assistant Artist Manager to work in our internationally renowned artist management department in either our London or Berlin office. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is keen to work in artist management, with excellent prospects for career development. As a member of a busy team, you will have the opportunity to work across the department, liaising with top international artists and promoters daily.

Intermusica operates a hybrid home/office working policy.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of your artists so that over time you can build and cultivate a strong and trusting professional relationship with them, which will be integral to all aspects of your work.
  • Provide critical servicing support to a touring ensemble.
  • Administer artist diaries, liaising with a variety of external contacts (including promoters, venues, other artists, and agents) to arrange logistical aspects of all engagements.
  • Co‑ordinate rehearsal schedules, materials, instrument lists, technical riders, and other requirements.
  • Take responsibility for keeping both the current and advance diary up to date for all artists.
  • Oversee prompt checking, processing, and filing of contracts.
  • Develop understanding of media rights, coordinate agreement of rights with recording companies if necessary.
  • Assist with travel and accommodation for artists where necessary, including researching and booking trips, negotiating travel contributions with promoters, as and when required, as well as promptly processing visa and work permit arrangements in advance when needed.
  • Where necessary, produce detailed schedules for artists and ensure that they have all the required information to fulfil their commitments.
  • Work with the finance team to prepare financial paperwork (invoices, statements etc.) and to ensure prompt payments to artists and to Intermusica.
  • Support tax applications by initiating and/or assisting where necessary.
  • Work with Intermusica’s Communications & Marketing department on a variety of promotional materials, keeping clients’ pages on the company’s website up to date with concert listings, news stories, recordings, reviews etc.
  • Collaborate with recording companies, local agents, PR agencies to coordinate promotional activity.

  • Attend concerts and industry events on behalf of Intermusica as required.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of artists’ careers and the promoters with whom we work.
  • Organise travel/hotel/meetings/concert tickets for Artist Managers as required.
  • Assist with general office admin.
Person Specification Required/essential
  • Graduate calibre with prior administrative experience, ideally in an arts/cultural organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, confident speaking on the phone and addressing issues/concerns head‑on.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure.
  • Strong ability to multitask and deal with conflicting priorities in a multi‑cultural and frequently fast‑paced environment.
  • Team player who builds trust by being solutions‑focused and accountable for their work.
  • Works to deadlines and with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Proactive and able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach in demanding situations with high stakes.
  • Reliable, conscientious, and highly organised.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Interest in and knowledge of classical music.
Desirable
  • The role would suit someone seeking their second job in the arts.
  • Previous experience organising international travel and diary management.
  • Working knowledge of a second language.
  • Prior experience of Overture (agency software).
