Our writers are driven to push the boundaries of storytelling in games. We want players to feel hooked by our characters, enjoy sharp dialogue, and savor adventures long after they put down the controller. To accomplish these goals, we collaborate closely with designers, artists, animators, actors and technicians throughout the studio, and beyond.
What You Will DoAs a Lead Writer, we will look to you to:
- Work with the Narrative Director to craft the game’s narrative.
- Collaborate with other Leads to establish and implement narrative across disciplines.
- Manage a diverse team of writers in the creation of new characters, dialogue, and quests.
- Generate, support, and improve narrative designs for gameplay features and modes.
- Maintain narrative quality in an evolving AAA studio environment.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have 8+ years of experience in AAA narrative, having shipped multiple titles, at least some of which as a Lead.
- Have shipped at least one multiplayer, co-op, and/or live service game.
- Have a background and/or had training in dramatic writing and story structure.
- Have experience with all aspects of the story design process, including ideation, writing, revision, editing, responding to multiple sources of feedback, and self-critique.
- Possess extensive knowledge of stories and narrative design in many game genres.
- Can share a portfolio of game narrative work upon request.

Does Guerrilla offer remote positions?

Unless stated otherwise, our vacancies are based on-site, in our studio in Amsterdam. For qualified candidates, we offer visa, permit, relocation and immigration support. Depending on role, we do offer hybrid work models allowing our employees to work from home one or more days per week.
