Position: Art and Tech Hybrid Role: Technical Artist
Blackbird Interactive seeks a passionate Technical Artist to craft captivating experiences. Contribute your technical expertise in a collaborative environment focused on ambitious game development.

In this role, you’ll embed yourself within a proprietary engine to improve framerate stability while supporting multiple teams, including animation and modeling. With minimal supervision, you will take ownership of challenges and collaborate on effective solutions that bridge art and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the embedded Technical Artist on proprietary technology

• Enhance in-game asset performance and framerate stability

• Formulate solutions to meet technical requirements

• Provide implementation support to animation and FX teams

• Document production pipeline processes for team clarity

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of VFX production tools and processes

• Understanding of shader development and C++ coding

• Experience in game asset creation and management

• Innovative problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with performance profiling tools is advantageous
