About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and energetic Event Coordinator to manage and execute a diverse portfolio of sports and lifestyle events in and around Port Elizabeth . This role demands exceptional planning, logistical coordination, and communication skills to ensure seamless event delivery. You will be at the forefront of creating memorable experiences for attendees, participants, and sponsors within the vibrant Leisure & Sports landscape.

• Plan, organize, and execute various sporting and lifestyle events from conception to completion.
• Manage event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and secure necessary permits and licenses.
• Coordinate all event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, staffing, and technical requirements.
• Develop and implement marketing and promotional plans for events.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for event stakeholders, including sponsors, participants, and staff.
• Oversee on-site event management, ensuring smooth operations and resolving any issues promptly.

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role, with a focus on sports or lifestyle events.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office suites.
• A flexible approach to work, with willingness to travel and work irregular hours as needed for events.
