About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and imaginative Lead Narrative Designer to spearhead storytelling efforts for their upcoming projects within a fully remote team structure. This role is vital for crafting compelling narratives, developing rich lore, and integrating story elements seamlessly into gameplay. You will guide a team of writers and narrative designers, oversee the story bible, and collaborate closely with game directors and designers to ensure a cohesive and immersive player experience.

• Develop and own the overarching narrative, plot, characters, and lore for game projects.
• Write dialogue, quests, item descriptions, and other in-game narrative content.
• Collaborate with game designers to ensure narrative and gameplay are tightly integrated.
• Lead and mentor a team of narrative designers and writers, providing feedback and direction.
• Maintain the narrative bible and ensure consistency across all story elements.
• Explore innovative ways to deliver story in interactive mediums.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in narrative design or writing for games, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a proven ability to craft engaging narratives.
• Strong understanding of interactive narrative structures and techniques.
