Lead Narrative Designer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an imaginative and experienced Lead Narrative Designer to shape compelling stories and world-building for their upcoming projects, operating in a remote-first capacity. This role involves defining the narrative vision, crafting engaging storylines, and ensuring the integration of narrative elements throughout the player experience. You will lead a team of writers and narrative designers, collaborating closely with other departments to weave immersive tales that resonate with players globally.

This is a unique opportunity for a creative storyteller to take charge of narrative development, build rich fictional worlds, and leave a lasting impression on players through powerful storytelling.

• Develop and own the overall narrative vision, storyline, and character arcs for projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of writers and narrative designers, providing creative direction and feedback.
• Write compelling dialogue, lore, quest descriptions, and other narrative content.
• Collaborate with game designers to ensure narrative seamlessly integrates with gameplay mechanics and player agency.
• Create and maintain narrative documentation, including bibles, character profiles, and plot outlines.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in narrative design or creative writing for games or interactive media.
• Proven track record of creating engaging stories and developing rich fictional worlds.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience with narrative scripting tools and game engines is a plus.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to guide and inspire a creative team remotely.
