Lead Sound Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Sound Designer to guide their audio team in Paarl . You will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall audio direction for our game projects, ensuring a cohesive and immersive auditory experience. This hybrid role combines essential in-studio collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You will oversee sound design, music implementation, and voiceover production, working closely with other departments to achieve the highest quality audio standards.

This is a pivotal role for a seasoned professional looking to leave their sonic mark on exciting new interactive entertainment experiences.

• Lead and manage the sound design team, providing creative direction and technical guidance.
• Design, create, and implement high-quality sound effects, ambient environments, and Foley for game assets.
• Collaborate with composers and music supervisors on original soundtracks and audio integration.
• Oversee voiceover recording sessions and manage dialogue implementation.
• Develop and maintain the audio pipeline, ensuring efficient workflow and integration with game engines.
• Ensure audio quality and consistency across all project elements and platforms.

• Extensive experience in game sound design , with a portfolio demonstrating leadership and exceptional audio work.
• Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Reaper) and audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD).
• Strong understanding of audio engineering principles, acoustics, and signal processing.
• Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity and their audio systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
