Event Coordinator - Sports

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and energetic Event Coordinator to join their vibrant team in Rustenburg . This role is central to the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a diverse range of sporting events, from local tournaments to larger regional competitions. You will be responsible for managing all logistical aspects, ensuring seamless coordination between participants, venues, sponsors, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for sports and a talent for orchestrating memorable event experiences. This hybrid role balances on-site event management with remote planning and administrative tasks.

• Plan and execute all logistical elements of sporting events, including scheduling, venue setup, and resource allocation.
• Liaise with sponsors, vendors, and volunteers to ensure smooth event operations and adherence to agreements.
• Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and seeking cost-effective solutions.
• Create detailed event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met throughout the planning process.
• Coordinate participant registration, communication, and on-site management during events.
• Develop and implement post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

• Proven experience in event coordination or event management, preferably within the sports sector.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office productivity tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic environment.
