Remote Event Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and highly organized Remote Event Planner to conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of events for their stakeholders, based in Sandton. This role is integral to delivering engaging and memorable experiences, managing all aspects from initial ideation through to post-event analysis. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure events align with strategic goals and exceed expectations, all within a fully remote setting.

This is a prime opportunity for a seasoned event professional who excels in managing complex projects independently.

• Conceptualize, plan, and manage all event logistics, including budget, venue, catering, A/V, and staffing.
• Develop detailed event timelines and project plans, ensuring all milestones are met.
• Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best rates and services.
• Manage event marketing and communication strategies to drive attendance and engagement.
• Provide on-site (or virtual) event support and troubleshooting as needed.
• Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and reporting on success metrics.

• Proven experience as an Event Planner or in a similar event management role, with demonstrated success in remote execution.
• Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and virtual collaboration tools.
