Event Coordinator - Welkom

Our client seeks a creative and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to manage and execute a variety of events for their clients in Welkom, Free State . This role will involve conceptualizing events, managing budgets, coordinating vendors, and ensuring seamless execution from start to finish. While the role is primarily remote, requiring excellent virtual communication and organizational skills, occasional on-site presence may be necessary for key event phases or final setup.

You will be responsible for delivering memorable and successful events that meet client objectives and exceed expectations.

• Plan, organize, and execute various events, including conferences, banquets, and corporate functions.
• Develop event concepts, themes, and detailed timelines in collaboration with clients.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Source and liaise with vendors, including caterers, decorators, and entertainment providers.
• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed efficiently.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and client debriefings to gather feedback for future improvements.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
