Event Planner Assistant

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Event Planner Assistant to support their team in Richards Bay . This role is vital in assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of various events, from corporate functions to private celebrations. You will gain hands‑on experience in event management, working closely with clients and vendors to ensure seamless and successful occasions.

The hybrid nature of this role allows for flexibility in managing tasks both on‑site and remotely.

• Assist lead event planners in coordinating all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and entertainment.
• Manage event timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed by deadlines.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to confirm arrangements and resolve any issues.
• Prepare event materials, presentations, and participant information packs.
• Provide on‑site support during events to ensure smooth execution and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain event budgets and track expenses, assisting with financial reconciliation.

• Previous experience in event coordination or administration, preferably in hospitality or event management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in event planning software and standard office productivity suites.
• A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
• Willingness to travel to event sites in and around Richards Bay as needed.
