About the Role Our client, a leading global e-sports organization, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Remote E-sports Tournament Director to lead the planning, execution, and oversight of their online competitive gaming tournaments. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The Tournament Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of e-sports events, from initial concept and scheduling to real-time operation and post-event analysis.

You will work with game developers, platform providers, marketing teams, and players to ensure seamless and engaging competitive experiences. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the e-sports ecosystem, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing online tournaments at a high level. This role demands a proactive approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, digitally connected environment.

• Conceptualize, plan, and execute e-sports tournaments, ensuring high production value and competitive integrity.
• Develop tournament formats, rulesets, and schedules, adhering to game-specific mechanics and player fairness.
• Manage and coordinate with game publishers and developers for official support and approvals.
• Oversee online broadcasting and streaming operations, working with production teams to deliver engaging content.
• Liaise with professional players, teams, and agents throughout tournament life cycles.
• Implement and enforce tournament rules, making decisive judgments on disputes and rule violations.
• Manage budgets allocated for tournament prize pools, operations, and talent.
• Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to promote tournaments and engage the e-sports community.
• Conduct post-tournament analysis, gathering data on viewership, participation, and key performance indicators.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and games within the e-sports landscape.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in e-sports event management, with a strong focus on online tournaments.
• Proven track record of successfully directing major online e-sports events across various titles.
• In-depth knowledge of popular e-sports titles, competitive structures, and player communities.
• Exceptional understanding of tournament operations, rules enforcement, and competitive integrity.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex schedules and multiple work streams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships.
• Experience with streaming platforms (e.g., Twitch, You Tube Gaming) and broadcasting technologies.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a remote work setting.
