Role Overview

We're looking for a Lead Game Designer to join the Tripledot Games team. You’ll lead design on a new hybrid-casual game in the idle RPG space. We’re exploring directions that blend idle progression with arcade action or roll-based economies, and you’ll help decide which one we take forward.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-on

• Own the core loop, meta and progression design for a new mobile game, from concept to launch.
• Build playable prototypes quickly, using AI tools, to test ideas before full production.
• Design economy and progression systems, including upgrade curves, rewards, gacha and spin or roll mechanics.
• Balance hybrid monetisation across ads and IAP.
• Write clear design documentation for art, engineering and product teams.
• Analyse KPIs, playtests and A/B tests, and turn the results into design changes.

Leading game design

• Set the design direction for the project, working with the product director and studio leadership.
• Research the market and competitors to find opportunities in new genres.
• Review design work and share feedback and best practices with more junior designers.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Hands-on

• A proven record of senior or lead game design work on live free-to-play mobile games, ideally hybrid-casual.
• Experience on at least one successful title in idle RPG, coin looter, arcade idle, survivor-like or similar hybrid-casual genres.
• Experience designing the economy, progression and monetisation of a live game, and tuning them using player data and A/B tests.
• Experience building playable prototypes yourself with AI tools.

Leading game design

• Experience reviewing other designers’ work and helping them improve.

Strong advantage

• Experience on two or more of the genres above.
• Experience taking a new game from concept to launch.
• Experience with base building, lighter 4X-style meta or creature collection.
