Typical Day – As you inspire people to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, you’ll build client relationships that grow stronger over time.
Responsibilities- Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
- Collaborate with leaders and peers to coordinate remote work and communicate impact on results.
- Grow and deepen your tax expertise.
- Experience completing individual tax returns.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
- Experience using technology (specifically MS Teams and Outlook).
- Ability to communicate complex tax situations concisely via phone, email, and chat to inspire client confidence.
- Experience utilizing effective customer service techniques.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or higher; eligibility to complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
- Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent is not a guaranteed offer of employment.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
- Experience conducting complex tax returns, tax planning, and audit support.
- Tax interview experience that builds client confidence.
