As a Remote Tax Professional, you will serve clients with diverse tax needs with support from an expert team and advanced tax training to help you be successful.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to coordinate remote work and communicate results clearly.
• Grow tax expertise and stay informed on tax laws and client needs.

• Experience completing individual tax returns and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet and familiarity with MS Teams and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations concisely via phone, email, and chat.
• Strong customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or higher; willingness to complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Skill in researching information using tax publications and tools.

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex tax returns and tax planning or audit support.
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax; experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
