Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Tax Director, the Tax Manager is responsible for serving as a leader in the tax department and ensuring accurate and timely processing of tax returns for the Firm by completing a final review of all returns, a detail review of some returns, managing workflow, and assisting the Senior Tax Managers and/or Tax Manager II and planning teams as needed.

Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Tax, or related field
- CPA or EA required
- 8+ years’ experience in public accounting or its equivalent
- Proven experience with Lacerte tax preparation software is highly desirable
- Thorough knowledge of tax laws
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience managing a team strongly preferred
Limited travel is expected for this position.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Upon management’s approval, remote work may be allowed using firm‑approved office equipment. Correspondence with coworkers may be in person or through virtual means.
Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed based on management’s approval. The ability to work remotely is allowed based on management’s approval.

CompensationMinimum: $130,000 - Maximum: $160,000
