The Role

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Tax Manager to join a fast‑growing, innovative professional advisory firm working with closely held businesses in the automotive retail, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and other for‑profit industries. Our ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, entrepreneurial person with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will lead tax engagements and supervise a team of support staff, working directly with business owners and their financial professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a strong portfolio of auto dealership clients and engagements across other industries.
  • Occasional travel to auto dealership industry conferences across the U.S. – typically 3 per year in notable locations.
  • Provide initial and/or final review support for federal, state, and multi‑state individual tax returns for corporate business owners and high net worth individuals.
  • Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to deliver superior client services.
  • Identify opportunities for value‑added services and potential cross‑selling of other firm services to existing clients.
  • Exemplary leadership skills and the ability to mentor, train, and develop staff members.
  • Support partner team in practice development, including attending conferences, networking events, and training and speaking engagements.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience preparing and reviewing corporate and individual income tax returns.
  • Active CPA or EA.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proficient in project management including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Integrity within a professional environment.
Preferences
  • Experience with CCH Axcess tax and Knowledge Coach.
  • Familiarity with automotive retail industry.
Location

This role can be based out of our Lebanon, NH office or remote.
