Overview

The AVP of Risk Change Management provides strategic oversight and governance for the change initiatives across the Consumer Direct (CD) and Third-Party Origination (TPO) channels for Lakeview Loan Servicing, LLC. This role is responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with organizational change, strategy development, and plan implementation to ensure a smooth transition, foster risk awareness, and drive compliance with policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate possesses deep mortgage industry knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to drive process improvement in highly regulated environments. This role requires collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and enterprise risk partners to drive consistency, foster accountability, and strengthen the company’s overall change governance framework.

This is a fully remote position that offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000, plus an annual bonus. You'll also receive our excellent benefits package, which includes medical coverage starting on day one and a company-matched 401(k).

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive consistent processes and informed decision-making regarding change initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies for large-scale initiatives, guiding cross-functional stakeholders from early planning through execution.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders from planning through execution to ensure readiness through stakeholder mapping, impact analysis, communication, training, and risk compliance.
  • Oversee change-related risk assessments in new initiatives or other business and technical changes to ensure potential risks are identified, evaluated, mitigated, and appropriately implemented.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership regarding change readiness, emerging risks, and policy or regulatory implications.
  • Collaborate closely with Credit Policy, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Risk Management to ensure appropriate risk tolerance and mitigation measures are being implemented for change initiatives.
  • Assess stakeholder readiness for proposed change initiatives and ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
  • Monitor implementation of change to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, investor requirements, and internal controls, particularly those related to the organization’s risk management framework.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of proposed controls and implement necessary enhancements to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
  • Establish, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of change initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise risk appetite.
  • Support Mortgage Credit Risk Committee, ensuring executive leadership remains informed of credit policy, risk appetite, and operational changes impacting the business.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen risk and change management practices and drive consistency across business lines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 6 – 8 years of experience in the mortgage industry with a thorough understanding of the full mortgage origination lifecycle
  • At least 5 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Change Management, or Issues Management
  • Strong understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory expectations, and operational controls within the mortgage industry.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Self-directed and capable of making independent decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience with risk systems or visualization tools like Power BI, is a plus
