Your role

As a Remote Tax Professional, you will serve clients with diverse tax needs and benefit from advanced training and support from a dedicated expert team. You will build client relationships and contribute to business growth while working remotely.

It would be even better if you also had

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex tax returns
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews that build client confidence
• Tax planning and audit support experience
• Sales and/or marketing experience

What you'll bring to the team

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email)
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Collaborate with leaders and peers about how remote work impacts results
• Grow your tax expertise

Your Expertise

• Experience completing individual tax returns
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet
• Proficiency with technology (MS Teams and Outlook)
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations clearly via phone, email and chat
• Strong customer service skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• High school diploma or higher
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season
• Ability to research information using tax publications and tools
