A Remote Tax Professional serves clients with diverse tax needs and works with an expert team that provides advanced tax training to help you be successful.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to coordinate remote work and impact results.
• Grow your tax expertise over time.

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
• Experience completing complex tax returns.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews that build client confidence.
• Tax planning and audit support experience.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience and proficiency with technology, specifically MS Teams and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex tax situations via phone, email, and chat; ability to inspire confidence in clients.
• Effective customer service techniques; analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent (or higher).
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet applicable IRS/state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Ability to research information using various tax and publication tools (e.g., IRS Publications/Instructions).
