. As a Remote Tax Professional, you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs and have the support of an expert team, receiving advanced tax training to be successful.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (e.g., video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to align remote work with results; communicate and coordinate regularly.
• Grow tax expertise through ongoing learning and practice.

• Experience completing individual tax returns and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Proficiency with technology (specifically MS Teams and Outlook).
• Strong communication skills to explain complex tax situations concisely via phone, email, and chat.
• Experience utilizing effective customer service techniques; analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or higher; successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent; completion of continuing education requirements and any IRS/state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred in some cases); experience completing complex tax returns; tax planning and audit support experience; and sales/marketing experience (preferred).

• Ability to conduct tax interviews with clients and support virtual tax services.
• Commitment to helping clients through the tax process and identifying opportunities for additional services.
• Team-oriented mindset with effective remote communication and collaboration.
