Overview:
Join H&R Block as a remote Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and work with an expert team, receiving advanced tax training to be successful. The company emphasizes a connected culture, client service, and growth through its Block Next transformation program.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers, communicating regularly about how remote work impacts results.
• Grow tax expertise and stay informed on tax practices to serve clients effectively.

• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience with technology (specifically MS Teams and Outlook).
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations concisely via phone, email, and chat.
• Experience utilizing effective customer service techniques.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Ability to research information using tax publications and instructions as needed.
• Preferred: CPA or Enrolled Agent certification; experience with complex tax returns; tax planning and audit support experience; sales/marketing experience.

Pay Range: $11.00 - $80.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefit programs.
