Tax Analyst - Hybrid

Role Overview

The Tax Analyst is an integral part of the McAfee Tax Team and will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of tax issues. You will support the core tax function with a focus on tax accounting functions, as well as provide support for audits, income tax compliance, provision, and research that covers most segments of tax including federal, state, and international.

Hybrid Position located in Frisco, TX. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to the Frisco office. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis; when not working onsite, you will work from your home office.

• Assist with preparation of quarterly and monthly global ASC 740 tax provision calculations
• Prepare tax account reconciliations and financial reporting disclosures
• Assist with monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal controls over income tax reporting processes (Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance)
• Perform research and analysis to help discern appropriate tax accounting treatment of tax items
• Assist with tax reporting and compliance process improvements
  
  Utilize Workday and One Source Tax Provision to prepare tax journal entries

• At least 3 years of experience with general corporate taxation required
• Experience in a public accounting environment preferred
• BA/BS/BBA/MS degree in Accounting preferred
• CPA is a plus
• Strong tax technical skills, analytical, and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy and details
• Working knowledge of financial processes and tax accounting principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Desire to learn and grow in a challenging environment
• Must be self‑motivated and able to prioritize tasks, meet strict reporting deadlines, and work autonomously with little oversight
• Excellent Excel proficiency; must be able to manipulate large amounts of data using pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP, Workday, or similar ERP systems is preferred
• Hands‑on experience with One Source Tax Provision is preferred
• Strong team player with a positive, professional attitude
• Eye for process improvement; you want to make the tax process smoother and more streamlined
• Proactive problem‑solver with a tolerance for ambiguity
• Strong work ethic and dedication to contribute to a culture of integrity, accountability, and teamwork
