**** Our Mortgage Banking Training full-time, paid training program is a unique and specialized training and development program to prepare candidates for a rewarding career in the mortgage industry. The training will provide you with a greater understanding of the overall residential mortgage loan process, which will lead to a full-time, Loan Processor position.
Our mortgage loan processors collaborate with customers, underwriting, and our sales team to make the dream of home ownership possible by gathering and analyzing documents to make a complete loan file. This includes reviewing paystubs, bank statements, credit reports, and a variety of other documents based on each customer's unique situation. ** TRAINING:
*** Consists of a combination of online classroom learning, mentorship, and job shadowing.
* Learn about the mortgage application process, various loan products, and investor guidelines and regulations.
* Provides employees with knowledgeable and dedicated support upon training completion.
* Instructor-guided mortgage systems and applications training
** WHAT YOU'LL BRING
*** Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and while maintaining attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite
* Ability to work with multiple computer systems
** LOAN PROCESSOR
JOB SUMMARY:
** Primarily responsible for performing functions relative to the processing, underwriting and closing of residential mortgages.
*
* DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Process and prepare purchase mortgage loans (FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA)
* Verifies accuracy and adherence to investor guidelines of all documents required for a complete submission to Underwriting.
* Excellent customer service skills, along with professional written and oral communication skills
* Provides consistent communication on loan status to customers to ensure a smooth mortgage transaction.
* Ability to maintain quality work in a fast-paced environment.
* Capacity to multi-task using multiple computer screens and software programs.
* Successfully use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to process loans.
* Cultivate relationships with peers as a peer mentor
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
* Performs other duties as assigned
** REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINEE PROGRAM APPLICANTS**:
* At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role, including professional/military experience, internships, or school leadership positions.
* ** Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred.
*** Ability to multi-task and good attention to detail
* Dedicated workspace in a distraction-free environment and reliable internet connection to allow for remote work.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
** Salary Range: starting pay of $24.04 hourly.
