- Ability to bring on a Financial Analyst within the first six months.
- Annual budget of approximately $850 k for the department.
- Planning twice a year (H1 & H2); business runs in halves with monthly reporting.
- MoM growth with strong EBITDA.
- Move the finance department into a strategic function; leverage debt for M&A and cost controls.
- Speak with department heads so budgets drive performance and highlight under‑performance.
- Create a model of how growth investments affect EBITDA and optimize capital allocation.
- Improve tax planning and overall EBITDA.
- Build visibility into capital investment with clear hypotheses, outcomes, and timelines.
- Develop debt partnerships beyond a small SBA loan.
- Become investment ready for market entry in 36 months.
- Accounting:
Hold the team accountable for a 5‑day close, standardized reports, and work with the external CPA to ensure tax and legal compliance within budget. - Finance:
Manage the financial model and reporting for budgets, actuals, and goals, ensuring timely and accurate information for peers. - Approve offers, raises, and promotions per guidelines.
- Hold department leaders accountable to margin expectations in their P&L.
- Treasury:
Ensure cash is maintained at safe levels and grows. - Monitor AR/AP processes to keep overdue receivables down.
- Risk:
Work with insurance brokers to meet all requirements. - Legal:
Coordinate with the legal firm for compliance. - Corporate Development:
Support More Good Capital through robust financial modeling and due diligence. - Accountability:
Build structure, cadence, proactive support, and clear communication.
- 55 % gross margin.
- 24 % adjusted EBITDA.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a bonus.
- 10+ years progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within performance marketing agencies.
- Proven experience in a digital agency or similar services industries.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial management systems.
- Expertise in capital allocation to drive revenue.
- Ability to hold business units accountable to budget and goals.
- Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
- Comfort with leveraging debt for growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
