As the Corporate Controller, you will oversee all financial transactions, establish robust controls, and design budgets to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with US GAAP
. This role is critical to delivering accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting.
- Develop, implement, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, leveraging our current accounting software.
- Create and maintain internal control policies, procedures, and guidelines for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting practices.
- Oversee all accounting and tax functions, including AP, AR, fixed assets, credit, general ledger, payroll, and various tax filings (payroll, business, property, franchise/income).
- Manage cash flow, close books, and prepare monthly and annual financial reports.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards.
- Review the work of the Accounting Department team members, ensuring quality and accuracy of their work.
- Analyze budgets, costs, and trends; prepare periodic reports comparing actual vs. budgeted results, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Provide insights on business operations, financial commitments, and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Advise leadership on resource allocation, tax strategies, and budget assumptions.
- Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate audits and tax filings with external auditors and funding agencies.
- Deliver financial analyses for capital purchases, pricing strategies, and negotiations.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.
- Hands‑on expertise in general accounting, cost accounting, auditing, and tax (public accounting or corporate setting).
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Google Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA designation is a plus.
The salary estimated for this position is $140,000 - $190,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Compensation will vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills and experience. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
