Private Equity Senior Associate About the Role
The Senior Associate will join a rapidly growing independent sponsor transitioning to a new in-person office in Southeast Florida (Miami / Boca / Fort Lauderdale). Until the office is fully established, this role offers flexible remote work with an expectation of in-person presence as the firm completes its relocation. The firm focuses on complex services businesses, investing across business services, financial services, and healthcare services.
They are highly selective, hands‑on, and execution‑focused, operating with a concentrated deal strategy backed by a family office. With an entrepreneurial culture, a tech‑forward mindset, and strong deal velocity, the Senior Associate will have meaningful responsibility from day one.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and perform analysis with limited oversight from leadership
- Conduct industry research and company analysis
- Lead the due diligence process for new investment opportunities
- Prepare presentation materials that clearly reflect the firm’s priorities and focus areas
- Review and triage a high-volume pipeline of more than 4,400 opportunities annually
- Assist with building and refining theses around complex services subsectors
- Partner with leadership to monitor strategic, operational, and financial performance of portfolio companies
- Engage with portfolio company senior executives to drive the firm’s strategic priorities
- Support intermediary relationships to drive deal flow, including coordinating and leading meetings and developing relationships with peer staff at intermediary firms
- Support fundraising and investor relations activities
- Attend industry conferences and build a network within the target industries
- Leverage AI‑driven tools for deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring to accelerate analysis, uncover insights, and enhance decision‑making efficiency
- 4 years of total professional experience (buy‑side and sell‑side experience preferred)
- 2 years of experience in middle market investment banking and 2+ years in private equity required.
- Services sector experience preferred.
- An undergraduate degree is required.
- Excellent financial modeling, Excel, and quantitative skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and expertise with Power Point
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Must be willing to work from the firm’s Southeast Florida office when deal flow necessitates; offices offers remote flexibility at other times.
- $250,000 - $300,000 total compensation
