Job OverviewAs a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you will develop and grow your own practice, supported by branch associates, a home‑office team and other regional financial advisors. You will benefit from a long history of success, a unique branch‑team business model, and a firm‑wide support network that empowers you to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (e.g., residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).
- Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies.
- Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience that aligns with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
- Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve desired results.
- Create a highly engaging environment in the branch built on mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.
- Complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities, and maintain registrations and licenses in good standing.
- Work within a firm‑provided branch office in the community.
- Leverage client support to lighten your workload so you can focus on clients.

What Characteristics Make You a Successful Financial Advisor?- Strong communication skills and self‑starter.

- Passion for new opportunities.
- Series 7 and Series 66 required.
- Experience in financial services working with clients, with in‑depth knowledge of investment products and a track record of success.
- State insurance licenses preferred.
- Preferred additional designations such as CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CRPC®, or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™.
