Senior Staff Accountant
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with exposure to a fast‑paced, private equity‑backed organization. The position is primarily on‑site (4 days per week) with flexibility for occasional remote work.
Responsibilities- Lead and participate in month‑end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly and post cash activities to the general ledger.
- Manage fixed asset processes, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation entries, and record maintenance.
- Record new debt obligations and related month‑end adjusting entries.
- Support audit requests by preparing reconciliations and providing documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and internal financial reporting.
- Analyze income statements to identify trends and variances.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.
- Contribute to special projects and ad‑hoc analysis as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and month‑end close procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred) and FP&A tools is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;
other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the referenced salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
