JOB

Your primary responsibility is to support the IFRS
17 and SII valuation across all lines of business for Munich Re Life US.

Valuation and Financial Reporting
  • Support the preparation of quarterly results under IFRS
    17 and SII across multiple onshore and offshore entities, including data delivery, attribution analysis, preparation of disclosures and communication of results.
  • Support the preparation of financial projections and key performance indicators for strategic and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure quality and on-time completion of reporting deliverables.
Development
  • Support assumption updates and valuation model changes under IFRS
    17 and SII.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to our data, systems and processes.
  • Support special projects such as inforce management actions, deal reviews and ad-hoc requests from home office.
Results Analysis
  • Identify result drivers and perform attribution analysis under IFRS
    17 and SII.
  • Evaluate performance and profitability of all lines of business.
Reporting & Communication
  • Effective communication of results to various stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge of IFRS
    17 and SII.
  • Build relationships across the US organization and beyond.
  • Support requests from home office and external reviewers (e.g., auditors).
YOUR PROFILE
  • ASA or near ASA
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, quantitative discipline, actuarial science, or related field
  • Life insurance product knowledge including product design, features, and risks
  • Valuation or Financial Reporting experience is preferred
  • Knowledge about IFRS
    17, SQL and/or GGY AXIS is a plus
