We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will play a key part in supporting the organization’s financial health and strategic objectives through accurate reporting and insightful analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a keen analytical mindset, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial decisions, collaborate across departments, and help drive continuous improvement in a dynamic work environment.

This position is located at the Guelph office located at 104 Cooper Drive, Guelph. Ontario One Call has a hybrid work model with staff dividing their workweek between in-office and at-home work per company policy.

Month‑End Close & Reporting
  • Support the month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports as well as the supporting working paper files.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and NPO financial reporting standards.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on actuals versus budget and prior periods.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial trends and performance metrics.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor budget performance and identify areas for improvement.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and modeling processes.
  • Participate in system upgrades or implementations related to financial reporting and planning.
Compliance & Regulatory Filings
  • Support the external audit by answering questions and gathering requested information for the auditors.
  • Prepare and submit monthly/annual HST and WSIB filings as required.
