Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Dorchester, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Qualified Insolvency Practitioner at Purnells, you will manage a portfolio of insolvency cases, including liquidations, administrations, bankruptcies, and IVAs. Day‑to‑day tasks will include assessing financial situations, preparing statutory reports, liaising with creditors and clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and working collaboratively with other team members.
You will also provide detailed advice and assistance to clients, helping them make informed decisions during financial distress. This role would be ideal for any Insolvency Practitioners who are London based and are considering moving out of London to South Coast.
- Proven ability in managing insolvency cases, including liquidations, administrations, and personal insolvencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of insolvency laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and client management skills, with the ability to offer clear and empathetic advice
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities
- Professional qualifications such as JIEB (Joint Insolvency Examination Board)
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing financial reports and documentation
- Ability to work independently, as well as contribute effectively in a team environment
- Experience with insolvency‑specific software and proficiency in general office software
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor juniors are advantageous
