Base Pay Range$45,000.00 / yr – $ / yr
Job OverviewAs a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you will develop and grow your own practice supported by your branch team, a home-office team, and regional advisors. You’ll build long‑term client relationships and help them achieve goals such as retirement, wealth building, estate strategies, and education funding.
Key Responsibilities- Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, introductions, referrals, social media, speaking engagements).
- Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs and priorities to accelerate trust and create personalized strategies.
- Oversee branch processes and ensure a high‑quality client experience consistent with firm policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
- Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness.
- Create a highly engaging environment of mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability within the branch.
Candidates should have at least one of the four qualifications below:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience within securities/financial services.
- Financial services and/or sales experience.
- Financial services registration, licensing, or certification.
- Professional or military career progression.
An interest in financial services/markets, love of learning, skill in long‑term relationship building, comfort with critical thinking, and passion for new opportunities are essential traits.
Licensing- SIE (obtainable without firm sponsorship);
Series 7 and Series 66 required; registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during paid study period. - FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses required.
- Ongoing training and CE required to keep licenses in good standing.
- Paid training – Get registered and licensed and learn how to be a financial advisor.
- Salary for the first five years as you begin to build your practice.
- A firm‑provided branch office in the community.
- Branch office support to help lighten the load.
- A support network that extends from your branch to the region to the home office.

² As your new asset compensation and commissions increase over the first five years, salary will decrease.
