Tax Manager - Public Accounting | Hybrid or Remote | Competitive Salary + Bonus

Our client, a respected and growing public accounting and advisory firm, is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, leading a team, and tackling complex tax issues across multiple industries.

About the Role

As a Tax Manager, you'll be a key advisor to clients, managing a variety of tax engagements and collaborating with firm leadership on planning and strategy. You'll review complex returns, guide staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets deadlines and exceeds expectations.

What You'll Do

• Manage and review federal, state, and international tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.

• Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, and reporting requirements.

• Lead engagement teams, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.

• Mentor and support staff through training, coaching, and feedback.

• Research and resolve complex tax issues, providing clear, practical solutions.

• Handle foreign reporting requirements such as FBAR, Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 1120-F, and GILTI.

• Work with Partners on strategic planning and business development opportunities.

• Stay up to date on industry developments and changes in tax legislation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
Master’s in Taxation or related field preferred.

• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required.

• At least six years of tax experience in public accounting or a similar setting, including three in a management role.

• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

• Proven ability to manage client relationships and multiple priorities.

• Comfortable using tax and accounting software tools.

Location:

Boston, MA | Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience)
