Essential Functions- Assist in tracking and managing the loan pipeline, loan maturities, uninsured reports, and past‑due reports to ensure timely processing and adherence to deadlines.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet processing goals and customer expectations.
- Provide backup support to other Loan Assistants for PTO requests and absences.
- Stay knowledgeable of State and Federal lending regulations, documentation requirements, and bank policies to ensure compliance.
- Collect and organize all necessary documentation from borrowers, including income verification, credit reports, and identification.
- Input data into loan processing systems accurately and efficiently.
- Order title searches, UCC searches, appraisals, and flood certifications as needed.
- Coordinate closings with lenders, attorneys, insurance agents, and clients.
- Initiate the disbursement of closing funds and issue loan proceeds via checks and/or wires.
- Review closed and funded loans for document completion, ensuring that loans are booked in a timely and accurate manner.
- Contact settlement agents, the register of deeds, and title insurance agencies to obtain post‑purchase documentation; maintain a tickler system for outstanding post‑closing documentation and report status during weekly meetings.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with up to three lenders and other stakeholders throughout the loan process.
- Provide exceptional client service by offering assistance and responding to questions and requests for information.
- Noti Fy clients of any issues or discrepancies and assist in resolving them.

- Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree or additional coursework in banking, finance, or lending is an asset. - Experience:
- 3‑4 years of experience in commercial lending documentation.
- 3‑4 years as a Loan Assistant I or comparable role.
Required annual compliance training and new employee orientation.
Physical DemandsMust effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires significant time at a computer, either sitting or standing at a desk.
Work EnvironmentThis position may be in a cubicle or private office environment. If applicable, telecommuting roles (hybrid or fully remote) must have a secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions, with a reliable private internet connection (cable or fiber preferred).
TravelTravel may be required to meet with lenders and/or clients, attend all‑hands meetings, career development sessions, site visits, and acquisition/merger support.
