What You'll Do
Bring your actuarial mindset into the business and help shape the future of annuity product as a Product Development Assistant Director (Annuities)
If you’re energized by blending product expertise, technical depth, and real business impact—this is not your traditional actuarial role. We’re looking for a Product Development Assistant Director who wants to be closer to the business, partner directly with sales and technology teams, and play a key role in how new annuity products come to life.
In this role, you’ll become the go-to expert on annuity product mechanics—how they work, how they calculate, and how they show up in the market. You’ll work across product, actuarial, sales, and systems to ensure product ideas are modeled accurately, implemented correctly, and understood clearly.
What You’ll Do- Serve as the subject matter expert on annuity product calculations, validating methodologies and ensuring accuracy in implementation.
- Support the design and ideation of new annuity products, including calculation modeling for concepts like registered indexed-linked annuities (RILAs).
- Partner with technology teams to implement product calculations across multiple platforms.
- Provide trusted technical support to sales, answering advisor and wholesaler questions on product features and mechanics.
- Collaborate with IT, Sales, Operations, and Actuarial to bring new products from concept to filing and launch.
- Assist in regulatory filings, ensuring product components are technically sound and well supported.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of product development, actuarial, or related financial services experience.
- Strong actuarial calculations experience with the ability to quickly learn and apply complex annuity product calculations.
- Experience in financial services or investments, with annuity expertise highly preferred.
- Strength in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communicating technical concepts clearly.
- Work beyond a traditional actuarial track—get closer to strategy, sales, and real-world application.
- Variety in daily work: product design, modeling, systems implementation, advisor support, and cross-functional influence.
- A visible and impactful opportunity to shape the next generation of annuity products.
If you want to apply your technical skill set in a dynamic, business-facing role, we’d love to meet you.
