About the Role:
Our client is looking for a professional Tax Manager that has a minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience in public practice and/or industry. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Canadian and U.S. corporate tax.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute tax support to corporate transactions and growth initiatives, from evaluation through post transaction implementation.
- Oversee domestic corporate tax filings and align related foreign and cross border obligations.
- Administer U.S. state and international tax requirements, including jurisdictional analysis and recurring compliance.
- Direct periodic income tax calculations and future tax projections including company wide rate analysis.
- Manage indirect tax obligations across global operations and act as a liaison during external audits.
- Analyze complex tax matters and deliver technical guidance and summaries to senior leadership.
- Work cross functionally to maintain and enhance tax workflows, controls, documentation, and system efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation or equivalent (ideal).
- 5–7 years of corporate tax experience in public practice and/or industry.
- Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. corporate tax; international exposure (ideal).
- Experience with transaction, cross border, and indirect tax matters.
- Organized, analytical, and a team player.
