Teller - Lynchburg
Position at Freedom First Credit Union, based at the Langhorne Branch. Employees may be asked to work at other locations as business needs arise and are required to work one Saturday per month.
RoleIdentify member needs through consultative sales techniques, process transactions, respond to service requests, and educate members on options. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of union operations and all products and services, and uses independent analysis to resolve complex situations while ensuring member satisfaction. This position does not qualify for remote work.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- 40% – Follow an effective sales process while delivering exceptional member service.
- 35% – Assist members with transactions, provide information, answer questions about all loan and deposit products, and resolve problems.
- 20% – Receive and accurately process member financial transactions, balancing the cash drawer and daily transactions.
- 5% – Assist with opening and closing of the branch office and balancing procedures.
- Must comply with all government regulations affecting the credit union, including OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Meets or exceeds performance expectations described in the Essential Functions and Responsibilities. Refer to the Annual Performance Goal document for remaining performance measurements.
Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two‑year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of an extensive in‑house training or apprenticeship program.

Extensive personal contact with others, motivating, influencing, and training. Ability to influence and sell ideas or services to others is essential.

Skills:
Proficiency with a keyboard, computer, calculator, fax machine, copier, and telephone; ability to read and understand financial statements, contracts, applications, printed materials, and manuals; must be skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
The job requires regularly sitting and using hands to handle controls, talking or hearing, occasionally standing, walking, reaching, stooping, or kneeling. Lifting or moving up to 20 pounds is occasionally required. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work EnvironmentWork is performed indoors in an office environment with moderate noise levels. The employee may need to travel periodically to other similar sites.
