Position Summary: As a member of the Global Revenue Operations and Accounting team, the Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring high‑quality and timely global consolidated internal and external revenue reporting. The role serves as a key resource for accounting guidance and support in revenue recognition and reports to the Revenue Accounting and Finance Manager. It interacts heavily with Financial Operations, Commercial Programs, Sales Operations, IT, Legal, and Product teams.
Responsibilities- Perform various month‑end/quarter‑end close activities to meet revenue‑accounting close deadlines, including Rev Pro administration, revenue allocations, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and royalty payable analysis.
- Review, analyse, and summarise contracts, including pre‑contract signature review and collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
- Prepare quarterly detailed analysis of revenue transactions to ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue‑recognition criteria.
- Conduct technical accounting research on revenue‑recognition related topics.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls for revenue recognition.
- Participate in evaluating the revenue‑recognition and process implications of new commercial models.
- Assist in maintaining the revenue‑recognition policy and update it for changes in business or new product lines.
- Interact with external auditors on contract reviews and revenue‑recognition accounting/controls globally.
- Liaise with external auditors to discuss new arrangements and technical accounting issues.
- Develop and refine internal controls for revenue processes to ensure SOX compliance and financial‑statement accuracy.
- Prepare special projects and ad‑hoc reports as requested.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement or operational automation in existing system infrastructure.
- Maintain a professional presence, including necessary sitting or standing while performing work on a computer, and communicate with peers via Microsoft Teams and meetings.
- Be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA certification or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with a Big 4 or national‑tier public accounting firm; public‑company experience a plus.
- Detailed working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with focus on ASC 606 and related concepts.
- Experience with Rev Pro a plus.
- Experience serving companies in the software or technology industry.
- Knowledge of Workday ERP and Salesforce a plus.
- Proficiency in data‑analysis tools (SQL or equivalent) a plus.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
